IT'S A GIRL

Another girl will be joining our family in April 2016. Maggie is beyond excited to have a little sister. She already started putting her "baby stuff" in the nursery. Name to be determined as Brian and I don't see eye to eye in the name department. I want old and classic (hence Margaret) and he wants more traditional American simple. We will get there though.

Our little girl is 13 ounces already. She is healthy and has a big head. I am losing weight and no where near what I should be weighing so my homework for my week 24 appt is EAT! If I am not at a good weight I will have to keep a food journal.

Maggie was right!

"Maggie, is there a baby brother or baby sister in mommy's tummy?"
"There's a baby!"

Well Maggie was right. There is a baby in there and they would not reveal themselves to the camera yesterday. It's like she knew we weren't going to find out.

I am not upset about it though. I am only 16 weeks and I was too nervous to get a premature guess that could possibly change at week 20.

Baby is super healthy and growing as expected. Due date is still April 17, 2016 and he/she is measuring 5 ounces.

We get to go back December 4 at 9am for a full anatomy scan and hopefully receive the gender.

My super amazing lovely friend went with me to my appointment because she felt bad I had to go by myself. She is so kind-hearted and compassionate and made me feel completely at ease. I will always call her my friend and hopefully one day my sister. Love you Maggie Vinopal!

16 Weeks Pregnant With Baby #2

How far along? 16 weeks!
Fruit Comparison: Avocado
Total weight gain: 5lbs
Maternity clothes? Pants for sure! Still managing in oversized sweaters and tight tees
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Love my sleep. Sleeping 10pm-6am with no interruptions from Maggie
Best moment this week: I got my doctor back. Long story short, I left my doctor that I used for Maggie for no reason to try another and I hated the new doctor. After much begging and crying I was taken back by my original doctor. It was been a long and emotional process
Miss anything? Sushi and lunch meat. Brian bought me some organic turkey last week. It was good and hit the spot. I craved some red wine the other night too ;o)
Movement: I feel movement but it could be gas. I cant decide yet
Food cravings: Beef jerky and sweet tarts
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not anymore. Sometimes Maggie's poopy diaper will get me but I can hold it back
Gender: We find out Thursday!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Nausea for sure. Up twice a night to pee. I hate when I wake at 5/530am to pee and force myself to hold it because if I get up I am up for the rest of the morning. HEARTBURN!!! this kid will have a head of hair like Maggie for sure. I could smell red sauce and get heartburn. TMI constipation for days :o(
Belly button in or out? at sea level lol
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Depends on the day. Sometimes I just snap and I am super irritable. Other days I am overly happy
Looking forward to: Gender reveal and fighting over names if it is a girl

Diving into the bloggin world

I have decided to keep a blog during this pregnancy instead of buying a bump book to record all my aches and pains. Bare with me as I am a horrible writer and this whole "blogging" thing is completely foreign to me. My first bump post will be 16 weeks (Sunday Nov 1) and we will go from there.

Baby #2 is due April 17 2016 and Maggie will be 3 on April 25. Oh and did I mention hubby's birthday is April 16th. Lots of April birthdays in our lives (Megan-April 11, Baba-April 7, Chris April 21)

We have been in our new house over a year now and still the projects never end. Just got the roof replaced and we are working on getting the kitchen completed. Just cosmetic stuff. We are adding a ton of electric to the basement which will help with Brian's man cave and my craft room.

We have 3 bedrooms in the house so our spare set of furniture has been moved to the basement to prepare the nursery. Brian has decided that if it is a boy we will do a Marvel theme and if its a girl we will figure that out. I am not big on themes but Brian is such a little boy at heart and since I get to name the boy, I'll let him design the room.

Maggie is beyond excited to be a big sister and talks to "baby" everyday. She told her teacher yesterday that she is having a baby brother. We shall see!
